NFL Power Rankings: No change at the top

Posted Dec 17, 2013

Jaguars.com Senior Writer John Oehser ranks the 32 NFL teams before Week 16.

JACKSONVILLE – Here are the jaguars.com pre-Week 16 2013 power rankings. And we all know how important these are:

.Seattle Seahawks (12-2) | 1 | Most consistent team in NFL this season

.Denver Broncos (11-3) | 2 | Could have dropped, but then the rest of Sunday happened

.New England Patriots (10-4) | 3 | Missed chance to move into No. 1 seed in AFC

.New Orleans Saints (10-4) | 4 | Road troubles a troubling sign

.Kansas City Chiefs (11-3) | 5 | Clinched playoff spot Sunday

.San Francisco 49ers (10-4) | 7 | Won’t win division but they’ll be a brutal “out” in playoffs

.Carolina Panthers (10-4) | 8 | If they don’t lose again, they win the NFC South

.Cincinnati Bengals (9-5) |6 | They should still get in, but must play better than Sunday

.Indianapolis Colts (10-4) | 10 | Sunday was a start, but need to improve before playoffs

.Arizona Cardinals (9-5) |12 | Could be best team not in the postseason

.Chicago Bears (8-6) | 13 | Cutler clutch in Cleveland

.Philadelphia Eagles (8-6) | 9 | That wasn’t playoff D on Sunday

.Green Bay Packers (7-6-1) | 16 | Came from nowhere to stay alive

.Miami Dolphins (8-6) | 17 | Three-game streak makes them favorite for final wild card

.Baltimore Ravens (8-6) | 15 | After a long, long season they control their destiny

.Detroit Lions (7-7) | 11 | Bad, bad loss with so much on the line

.San Diego Chargers (7-7) | 18 |Stayed alive with victory in Denver, but need help

.Dallas Cowboys (7-7) | 14 | Crushing. Simply crushing.

.Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8) | 19 | They’re proud, but pride not enough this year

.St. Louis Rams (6-8) | 22 | Have been very good at times this year, but not often enough

.New York Giants (5-9) | 20 | Oof

.New York Jets (6-8) | 21 | Road troubles kept them from making better run

.Tennessee Titans (5-9) | 23 |Haven’t won in AFC South this season

.Buffalo Bills (5-9) | 26 | Escaped Duval, but not by much

.Cleveland Browns (4-10) | 24| Yet another 10-loss season secured

.Oakland Raiders (4-10) | 25 | Four-game losing streak has sunk them deep in AFC West

.Minnesota Vikings (4-9-1) | 29 | Some huge second half victories may not save staff

.Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-10) | 27 | Better in second half, but still not close against contenders

.Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10) | 28 | Officially out of the postseason

.Atlanta Falcons (4-10) | 30 | Stopped the free-fall, but way too late to save season

.Washington Redskins (3-11) | 31 | As strange a season as there could possibly be

.Houston Texans (2-12) | 32 | Twelve consecutive losses and counting
