Posted Dec 3, 2013

Jaguars.com Senior Writer John Oehser ranks the 32 NFL teams before Week 14.

JACKSONVILLE – Here are the jaguars.com pre-Week 14 2013 power rankings. And we all know how important these are:

1. Seattle Seahawks (11-1) | 1 | Yeah … pretty good

2. Denver Broncos (10-2) | 2 | In firm control of AFC West with month remaining

3. New England Patriots (9-3) | 4 | Looking very much like New England again

4. New Orleans Saints (9-3) | 3 | Chances good they’ll get another chance in Seattle

5. Carolina Panthers (9-3) | 6 | Better and better and better

6. Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) | 5 | Losing streak not concerning … yet

7. Cincinnati Bengals (8-4) | 7 | In firm control of AFC North with month remaining

8. San Francisco 49ers (8-4) | 8 | A lot of work to do to clinch playoff spot

9. Indianapolis Colts (8-4) | 10 | Quickly closing in on clinching

10. Philadelphia Eagles (7-5) | 11 | A lot of hot teams in NFC; they’re one of them

11. Detroit Lions (7-5) | 12 | The best team in NFC North; can they prove it?

12. Dallas Cowboys (7-5) | 13 | May be the best team in NFC East; can they prove it?

13. Arizona Cardinals (7-5) | 9 | Could be odd-team out in tough NFC

14. Chicago Bears (6-6) | 14 | OT loss to Vikings could be a killer

15. Baltimore Ravens (6-6) | 16 | Must get better on the road to get in

16. Green Bay Packers (5-6-1) | 15 | 0-4-1 in the last five games

17. Miami Dolphins (6-6) | 18 | Season could be defined next two weeks (Pitt, NE)

18. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-7) | 20 | Are they healthy enough for a final run?

19. New York Giants (5-7) | 21 | First six weeks could be too much to overcome

20. San Diego Chargers (5-7) | 19 | Alive … but probably only technically

21. St. Louis Rams (5-7) | 22 | Odd-team out in NFL’s toughest division

22. Tennessee Titans (5-7) | 23 | Loss to Indy Sunday may have been last gasp

23. Cleveland Browns (4-8) | 24| A lot more ability on the roster than record indicates

25. Oakland Raiders (4-8) | 25 | Starting to do things right – just not in time for this season

26. Buffalo Bills (4-8) | 26 | Oh-so-close all season – just not close enough

27. New York Jets (5-7) | 17 | Looking worse than their record right now

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-9) | 28 | Winning streak ended in convincing fashion

28. Minnesota Vikings (3-8-1) | 29 | AP is 100 percent man

29. Atlanta Falcons (3-9) | 30 | Snapped out of skid in OT against Buffalo

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9) | 31 | Three out of four ain’t bad

31. Washington Redskins (3-9) | 27 | Officially out of the playoffs now
