Get the latest headlines as the Jaguars complete their final practice before Saturday's game vs the Eagles.

JACKSONVILLE – Luke Joeckel has a chance to play Saturday.

Joeckel, who missed the second preseason game last weekend, will be a game-time decision in the team’s third preseason game, giving the Jaguars a chance to look at their starting offensive line in Saturday’s dress rehearsal for the regular season.

Joeckel, the team’s starting right tackle and the No. 2 overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, missed the second preseason game with a hip flexor. He worked on the side in practice in some pass-protection work on Wednesday.

Bradley said ideally the team would have given Joeckel some on-field repetitions on Thursday, but lightning forced the team to hold its walkthrough underneath the stands at EverBank Field.

Joeckel’s return came on the same day Bradley announced the quarterback rotation for Saturday’s game.

Chad Henne will start and likely will play the first half, Bradley said. Blaine Gabbert, named the starter for the regular-season opener on Monday, remains out with a hairline fracture in his thumb and is expected to miss the final two preseason games.

“Ideally, we’d like them (the starters) to play the first and second quarter, go in at halftime and come back out,” Bradley said.

Veteran Mike Kafka will be the backup quarterback Saturday and will be the first in to replace Henne, Bradley said. Rookie free agent Matt Scott will be the next quarterback. Bradley said the two remain in competition for the No. 3 spot, and that Kafka will be in second Saturday because he received fewer reps last week in the second preseason game.

“There’s still competition between those two,” Bradley said.

Also Thursday, running back Justin Forsett (toe), cornerback Jeremy Harris (back), offensive tackle Mark Asper (knee), tight end Marcedes Lewis and cornerback Kevin Rutland (quadriceps) remained out.

Tight end Isaiah Stanback (groin) returned to practice, as did running back Jordan Todman (hamstring)) and defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick (groin).
