Jaguars awarded fullback Bradie Ewing off waivers

Jacksonville Jaguars awarded third-year fullback Bradie Ewing off waivers from Atlanta.


The Jacksonville Jaguars were awarded third-year fullback Bradie Ewing off waivers from Atlanta, the club announced today.

Ewing, 5-11  243, was originally selected in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2012 draft by Atlanta. He has appeared in two games, both starts, since entering the league in 2012. Ewing missed the entire 2012 season after suffering a knee injury in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve. Ewing started Atlanta’s first two games of the 2013 season with a shoulder injury before being placed on injured reserve. He has two career receptions for 29 yards (14.5 rec. avg.) in two seasons. 

Ewing, a native of Richland Center, Wis., played collegiately at Wisconsin and was a four-year letterman. As a senior in 2011, he was named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Year and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection and played in the Senior Bowl. He played in 52 games with 11 starts for the Badgers and had career totals of seven rushes for 33 yards (4.7 rush avg.) and two touchdowns and also caught 28 passes for 328 yards (11.7 rec. avg.) and two TDs.

Ewing attended Richland Center (Wis.) high school where was named first-team all-state (WFCA) as a senior and was a three-year captain.
